FORGEfix® P – the pneumatic cold forging system from POKOLM for precise mechanical machining of workpiece surfaces
Previously, manual polishing in the tool and mould making industry was required to achieve high quality surfaces. FORGEfix® P makes the associated disadvantages like higher time expenditures and the lack of reproducibility a thing of the past.
To ensure automated, line-by-line smoothing with FORGEFix® P, the innovative cold forging system is systematically routed across the tool surface by a CNC machine tool or a robot. That enables machining even complicated surface structures based on an NC data record.
FORGEfix® P, with a machine-end M 16 connecting thread exclusively from POKOLM, facilitates cost effective, reproducible and high-grade smoothing of complex surfaces with simultaneous compression. Three system sets with different levels of impact forces (250 N, 500 N, 1000 N) are available to achieve the best-possible results for each material and optimally exploit the cost advantages.
